Howell James CBE
Howell is the CEO of Quiller Consultants. He has over 40 years’ experience working at the highest levels in business, politics and the media. In business he worked at board level in Barclays, Christies, and Cable & Wireless. In government he was Permanent Secretary for Government Communications; worked in No10 Downing Street as Political Secretary to the Prime Minister; and was Special Adviser in the Departments of Employment, Trade and Industry. In media he worked at board level for the BBC, for Capital Radio, and TVam, the UK’s first commercial breakfast television channel. Read more
Jon joined Quiller Consultants in 2017 to head up our new corporate reputation practice. He has decades of experience integrating reputation into business strategy, building powerful campaigns and coaching leadership teams. His career includes senior international in-house corporate affairs roles and as a consultant advising leading multi-national corporations and governments. He is currently vice-chair of the Public Relations and Communications Association Council. Read more
Mitchell has extensive expertise in financial services having led government relations for the Corporate and Investment Banking Divisions of Barclays, and for Merrill Lynch Europe. Mitchell has advised businesses on a range of sensitive and politically challenging transactions across the globe, including at G20, EU, Asia and US Federal levels. A specialist in FinTech, Mitchell helped set up the industry trade body Innovate Finance. Read more
Sarah led UK government communications in the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic Games as a Senior Civil Servant working for both Labour and Conservative Secretaries of State. She is a senior Labour Party figure having stood for the party in a high-profile London seat in May 2015. She specialises in infrastructure, housing, and healthcare. Read more
Dominic Morris CBE
Dominic brings to Quiller decades of policy and regulatory expertise in financial services, telecoms, and media, having worked at board level for Lloyds Banking Group, Ofcom, and the BBC. He worked at the height of British politics, having advised two former Conservative Prime Ministers in No10 Downing Street both as a senior civil servant and as Deputy Head of the No10 Policy Unit. A former national journalist and think tank director, Alasdair has worked extensively across corporate communications, public affairs, crisis management and corporate responsibility issues in the UK and EU. He has decades of expertise advising FTSE100 property, retail and financial services companies as well as businesses and organisations in sectors ranging from engineering services to creative industries. Oisin O’Malley Daly
Oisin is an experienced public affairs and communications professional with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful engagement programmes across a range of sectors including financial services, FinTech and geopolitical. He previously worked in the Westminster Office of the former Economic Secretary to the Treasury Chloe Smith MP. Read more
Amy has over a decade working as a political adviser to senior Conservative Party politicians, most recently for four years as part of Mayor Boris Johnson’s inner team at City Hall. As an experienced campaigner for both political parties and private sector clients, she has an extensive knowledge of the current workings of the civil service and Parliament. Read more
Sheila Thompson is an Associate of Quiller Consultants. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, she was Executive Vice-President of BLJ London Ltd (formerly Brown Lloyd James Ltd), a London-based strategic communications consultancy, where she worked – for 16 years – on a variety of accounts in education, health, energy, arts, media and law. Sheila was Head of Information at the Lord Chancellor’s Department (1991-98) and before that Deputy Chief Press Officer at the Ministry of Defence.
